Queensburgh residents blame low water levels for dry taps
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Another Durban community is battling without water.

Residents in Queensburgh say their taps went dry around two weeks ago, when low water levels were reported at a reservoir in Northdene.
Resident Michelle Frazer says eThekwini is yet to resolve the issue.
"You can't do the washing and shower. When there is a tanker, you have to carry it. There are a lot of elderly who can't get to the water tanker."

She says water outages have been an ongoing problem since 2022.
"Apparently after the floods the water piping wasn't too great and they were trying to get us exempt from load shedding because every time there was load shedding something tripped and the water couldn't get through."
Ward councillor Chris van den Berg says other areas from Chatsworth to Umlazi are also affected.
