Educor qualifications will remain valid, assures Higher Education
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The qualifications obtained by Educor students during the registration and phased-out period will remain valid and recognised.

The Department of Higher Education has moved to assure the affected cohort after four of the education provider's colleges were de-registered.
Authorities say the institutions failed to submit their 2020 and 2021 financial certificates and annual reports.

The department says the decision has been communicated to the South African Qualifications Authority.
Spokesperson Veli Mbele says they have been inundated with queries from frustrated students.
"This means that the 4 Educor colleges City Varsity, Damelin, ICESA and the Lyceum group still have an obligation to award the students their qualifications during the period of registration and during the phase-out period.
“The four Educor colleges are also required to ensure that they conclude the remaining examination for assessment for the remainder of the academic year."
