Pupil in stabbing incident appears in court

A 15-year-old boy arrested in connection with the murder of a pupil during an alleged school fight in Verulam has made his first appearance in court.

Police say it's alleged that a group of learners were fighting inside the Siphesihle Secondary School in Trenance Park on Thursday.
Officers say during the fight, a 17-year-old male was stabbed on left side of the chest and died on arrival at a local clinic.
A 15-year-old learner was arrested after and appeared in the Verulam Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Police say the matter was postponed until next week.
The teen has been released into his parent’s custody.
