Outgoing Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela is advising her successor to always have the interests of the public at heart.

The National Assembly will today vote for a new Public Protector with Busisiwe Mkhwebane as the preferred candidate.
The Public Protector Committee's report will be debated in Parliament today.
Busisiwe Mkhwebane was selected as the preferred candidate for the post after the Ad Hoc Committee deliberated on a list of five short-listed candidates last month.
Busisiwe Mkhwebane's name must be endorsed by 60% or 240 of the 400 members of Parliament who will then be sent to President Jacob Zuma who will confirm the appointment.
says her next job in social justice only starts in 2018 but in the meantime she will be engaged with civil society work, lecturing and practicing as a lawyer.
She had this advice for her successor - the National Assembly. Listen below.
