PSA wants govt to address 'instability' at KZN Cogta

The Public Servants Association is calling on local government to address what it's described as growing instability at the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal.

It says it's concerned, following the resignation of department head Thando Tubane, and has asked the premier to step in.
The association's Mlungisi Ndlovu says there have been claims of political interference.

"Certain submissions are not submitted on time. the morale of the staff is very low. The HOD that used to be in the office most of the time now travels most of the time with the MEC.
"We call upon the office of the premier to intervene and protect all the accounting officers to perform their job without fear and favour and provide all the necessary support."
