Protesters hurl petrol bomb at fuel tanker on Durban freeway
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Durban Metro Police say quick-thinking officers doused a fire at this morning's protest near Chesterville, saving a tanker from potentially going up in flames.

Members of the K9 Unit and Public Order Policing were called to quell the unrest on the N2 southbound, under the Ridgeview Bridge just after 4 o'clock.
Protesters who blockaded the roads with burning tyres, were angry that local authorities had demolished their shacks.
Metro police spokesperson Parboo Sewpersad says community members made a run for it when they arrived to disperse them, but not before hurling a petrol bomb at a fuel tanker.
