Proposed no-confidence motion in ANC in eThekwini hits snag
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
The African Democratic Change has hit a snag with its proposed motion of no confidence against the ANC in eThekwini.
The party had planned to submit the motion on Monday, on behalf of 17 of the smaller parties in council.
But ADC leader Visvin Reddy says while the motion is ready, the other parties have some reservations.
"Surprisingly enough, from the parties that we have engaged with thus far no one seems to be keen on doing it. They are all in support, but nobody wants to put their names forward."

Reddy says they proposed the motion because the city needs to be fixed.
"I am hoping that this motion of no confidence will spur the ANC into action and make them realise and other political parties that they need to start putting the people first and not politics."
