Proposed KZN govt spending cuts 'good for business'

Chief Executive of Rokwil Developers Rod Stainton says cuts in government spending provide opportunities for business to grow.

Stainton's been speaking at an event hosted by the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry this morning.
The meeting comes after the State of the Nation Address, the Budget Speech and the State of the Province Address all presented over the last two weeks.
Premier Senzo mchunu announced that government spending would be cut by R1-billion.
Stainton say they welcome the cut.
"Business tends to invest more on sentiments and in what they perceive as confidence in where they are placing their cash and to a get that confidence, your environment in which you operate more so, how well you get to know the players and the environment," he said.
