The progress being made in finding an HIV-vaccine, functional cure as well as prevention interventions and trials are among the topics to be tackled at the International Aids Conference.
The event will be held from 18 to 22 July in Durban under the theme "Access Equity Rights - Now".
The Inter-Ministerial Committee briefed the media in Durban yesterday, saying the country is ready to host the thousands of delegates travelling to the city.
Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe says there will be a global village where people can share their ideas around the global response to HIV.
