High-profile international guests to attend Aids Conference
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
Former first lady Graca Machel, Charlize Theron and Prince Harry will be among delegates attending the 21st International Aids Conference to be held in Durban next month.

An Inter-Ministerial Committee tasked with preparation for the conference is in town to assess the city's state of readiness for the event.
Briefing the media earlier, committee chairperson and Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe said the return of the conference to our shores is an opportunity to evaluate progress made in encouraging prevention and improving access to HIV treatment.
"Today our response to HIV/AIDS is framed by a combination of our own National Development Plan - the Agenda 2063 of the AU and sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
"Our country has the world's biggest HIV/AIDS treatment programme which started with the launch of the world's biggest testing campaign," he said.
Nearly 20 000 delegates from 180 countries are expected to attend the conference at the Durban ICC.
