Professor Nana Poku is the University of KwaZulu-Natal's new Vice-Chancellor.
Poku was appointed unanimously by the Council and the University’s senior appointments committee.
He's been at the helm - in an acting capacity since October last year.
Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the College of Law and Management Studies at the university.
Poku has over 20 years of research experience and holds a PhD in International Political Economy.
On the appointment, the acting chairperson of the UKZN Council, Dr. Letticia Moja said they're looking forward to his leadership and guidance and are confident of his abilities.
