Probe into KZN cop's murder ongoing, says police

KZN Hawks say an investigation into the motive behind the murder of a policewoman on the South Coast is still ongoing.

Officials from the Port Shepstone Serious Organised Crime Investigation arrested 42-year-old Bongeka Somani on Wednesday in connection with the murder of her sister, Sergeant Nokuthula Somani.
They say it is alleged that the Sergeant was sitting in the lounge area of her Umzimkhulu home when two suspects entered the house and shot her multiple times.
The suspects fled the scene on foot leaving her to die on scene.
"The evidence that will be discovered will guide us or reveal the motive," says Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo.
"At this stage, we cannot say what the motive was of the killing besauce we are still busy with our investigation. There are diffrent stories."
