Probe into Ballito scuffle video between peace officers, father and child
The KwaDukuza Municipality has launched an internal investigation into an altercation between its law enforcement officers and a resident.
Video footage of the incident surfaced on social media on Monday.
The disturbing clip shows a screaming child caught in a scuffle between his father and the two officers at their Shakas Rock home.
Spokesperson, Sipho Mkhize says the municipality does not condone the behaviour of the personnel.

"At the outset, we want to say that we do not condone any form of abuse levelled
against our residents particularly women and children," he said.
Mkhize added: "On Tuesday, 12 May, we will call them in for an enquiry to understand what lead to some of the actions that were seen in the video as well as to understand the whole event.
"We appeal for calm during this time and cooperation in our community, so that we are able to get to the crux of the matter and are able to act in a manner that will be just."
