Probe into fatal electrocution incident in Shakaskraal

A probe has been launched after a man was killed and another was left injured, in an electrocution incident on the north coast.

It's understood that the contractors were working at the Nkobongo Substation in Shakaskraal when the incident occurred on Monday.
iLembe District Municipality spokesperson, Sphephelo Ngobese says they were deployed by the city to conduct maintenance work.
Ngobese says it was in preparation for a planned outage in the area.

"We wish to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of the bereaved and we are with the family and we will be investigating this particular incident together with the Department of Labour.
"We want to say as KwaDukuza Municipality we will communicate further details upon the conclusion of the investigation."
