Probe after body found in Malvern, man killed in train accident

Durban police are investigating the circumstances around the death of a man whose body was found in Malvern, south of the city, yesterday.

Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says officers were called out to recover the body late last night.
"The Malvern police have opened a case of inquest after a 30-year-old man was found in the dense bushes. He was found yesterday, after officers were alerted by the members of the community," Zwane said.
Another probe is also under way, after a man from Ulundi was hit by a train in the northern KZN town yesterday afternoon.
It happened along the Mbhoshonweni railway line. The 37-year-old died instantly.

Zwane says local detectives are handling the case.
"The Ulundi police have opened a case of inquest after a man was knocked by a train yesterday. It is alleged that the train was in motion when he was knocked over. He died instantly and therefore we have opened a case of inquest for further investigation," Zwane said.
