Prison visits permitted under Level 2 with conditions

Prisoners will get to see their families again.
Correctional Services says prison visits can resume under lockdown Level 2 - but in line with COVID-19 rules.
The department's Singabakho Nxumalo says visitors will have to make a booking 48-hours in advance.
Inmates are allowed one non-contact visit, once a month.
"We must emphasise that only visitors with face masks, as per the approved name list will be allowed access in our centres.

"Visitors must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement to the scheduled visit time.
"It is also critical to know that visits will only take place between 09:00 and 15:00 on visit days.
"Consultation visits between legal practitioners and inmates will also be non-contact and shall observe COVID-19 health protocols."
