President Zuma to study Fees Commission report

President Jacob Zuma will study the report into the feasibility of free tertiary education in South Africa.
The chairperson of the Fees Commission, Judge Jonathan Heher has handed over the report and its recommendations following months of public hearings around the country.
The Presidency's Bongani Ngqulunga says the report will be made public in due course.

"The president established the commission in January 2016 with an expectation to complete his task within eight months, however after amendments of its terms of reference the commission was granted an extension to complete its work by June 2017," he said.
The commission was established following often violent Fees Must Fall protests across the country towards the end of 2015.
