It comes at the request of Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng after judges and justices raised concerns recently about what they called attacks on the judiciary.
Presidential spokesperson Bongani Majola explains what is expected of the meeting.
"We hope that the meeting will enhance co-operation between the two arms of the state. We hope that the meeting will deepen our democracy and further emphasise that ours is a country based on the rule of law as a fundamental ternate and that the constitution is the supreme law of the country.
"We hope that they will affirm the doctrine of the separation of powers and that going forward, they will tell the nation how they intend improving these working relations," he said.
