Presidency: Cabinet reshuffle ‘looming’ as wait continues
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The cabinet reshuffle will happen in a matter of days.
That's the assurance given by the Presidency, which says appointing members of the executive is not something that should be rushed.
The country will have a new deputy president and transport minister to replace David Mabuza and Fikile Mbalula, respectively.

It's widely expected that President Cyril Ramaphosa will use the opportunity to shake things up in the cabinet.
Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya was asked at a briefing on Wednesday afternoon why the reshuffle and the announcement of the electricity minister had taken long.
"I am not quite sure that he will agree with the fact that it has taken long because the work of government has continued and the work of government be the electricity crisis or other areas of government.
"The fact that you still have vacancies in cabinet has not hindered the work of government, however, the president is aware that he has to fill the vacancies."
