Pregnant woman killed on N2 south of Durban

A pregnant woman has been killed after being knocked over on
the N2 freeway in Umgababa, near Amanzimtoti south of Durban.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 8pm on Friday night.

Initial indications are that the 18-year-old woman was struck by a light motor vehicle while allegedly crossing the freeway.
Netcare911 says she was declared dead at the scene.

A spokesperson says the necessary authorities were on the scene to investigate the incident further.
