Prasa probing Merebank train crash
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa says it's probing yesterday's head-on train collision in Merebank that left 131 people hurt.

Prasa says officials will also be visiting the families of those who'd been travelling on the trains.
The accident happened just before the afternoon rush.
The agency's Zama Nomganga says they will give support to the victims.
''To those that were affected and their families, as Prasa we are in support. We shall continue visiting the [victims] in hospital,'' he said.
Nomganga says, at this point and according to the information they've received, it appears that both trains were given the right of way but says they cannot confirm anything until the end of the investigation.
