Prasa issues warning against train surfing
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Passenger rail agency, PRASA is issuing a warning to other would-be train surfers not to put their lives and those of other passengers at risk.

"By the grace of God, he survived but I hope that he has learnt that this behaviour can take his life. Remember that cable is about 3000 volts. It is dangerous. He is lucky to be alive," said PRASA's Zama Nomnganga.
Video footage of the incident has been shared on social media. It shows a man lying unconscious on top of a Metrorail train, while sparks fly from cables next to him.
Nomnganga feels the man should be arrested.
"We condemn it as Prasa. Remember that this kind of behaviour contributes to train delays, the train would have to stop after the person was electrocuted. The driver needs to be checked because they are traumatised," he said.
