Post Office: Approved R350 social grant, available at branches until collected
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The South African Post Office says the R350 COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress grants that have been approved will still be available at branches until beneficiaries have collected the money.
It says there are snaking queues at post offices across KZN, as people are under the impression today is the last day for collection.
At the Post Office in Umhlanga, frustrated residents say they have been waiting from the early hours of this morning to try and get their hands on the COVID SRD relief grant.
Some have revealed that they heard that today was the last day they would be able to collect their grant.
They claim they have not been seen to as yet.

A woman in the queue says she had been standing out the offices since 2am.
She says she has been trying for the last three months to get the grant and has been having issues at the Post Office in Phoenix.
She said a friend told her to try Umhlanga as the cues are shorter but she is yet to been seen and has no money to go home.
The sentiment was shared by most people in the line.
