Post Office petrol problems sorted
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe
Transportation services were affected this week because the parastatal was unable to fill its vehicles up with petrol.
In a statement the Post Office has confirmed that the unavailability of fuel for its fleet has been due to challenges with its current fuel card service provider.
It says the two parties have been in discussions to fully resolve the issue. The parastatal has refuted reports that the problem was caused by a payment dispute.
After warning of delays in the delivery and collection of mail earlier it says only local deliveries in major cities have been affected.
Yesterday it appealed to customers to bear with them while it resolves the matter.
