Pongola crash victims to be laid to rest

A mass funeral for the 20 victims of the horrific crash on the N2 in oPhongolo, in northern KZN will get underway on Saturday morning.
Eighteen school children, between the ages of 5 and 12, and two adults were killed when a truck and bakkie collided head on last week Friday.
It's alleged that 28-year-old Sibusiso Siyaya who was driving the truck towards oncoming traffic fled the scene after the incident but later handed himself over to police.
Senior government officials including Police Minister Bheki Cele and Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula are expected to lead a government delegation that will pay their last respects at the Waterbus Sports ground in oPhongolo.
