Political parties slams local govt for ignoring homeless
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
KZN political parties say local government must be held accountable for the challenges faced by the province's homeless.

Representatives from the DA, EFF, IFP, and MK participated in a dialogue in Durban to hear feedback from the homeless community ahead of next month's elections.
Access to IDs and the ongoing struggle to be seen and heard were among the key issues raised by those living on the streets.
The DA’s Mmabatho Thembe says despite conversations about homelessness, no action has been taken.
"There has not been assistance given to the abantu who are homeless and I think that's time for governing parties, for the City to accept accountability. There were task teams that need to be put in, there are conversations that need to be had."
