Police tight-lipped on Malema apparent rifle shooting
National Police and authorities in the Eastern Cape are yet to comment on video footage allegedly showing EFF leader, Julius Malema discharging a rifle in public.
Video footage of a man who appears to be Malema firing an authentic looking weapon has gone viral online.
The incident is said to have taken place when the red berets celebrated their fifth anniversary at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape at the weekend.
In the video, Malema is seen moving to the side of the stage before firing several shots into the air.
It is understood that police are looking into the matter.
The EFF's Sixolise Gcilishe said that the party is preparing a statement on the matter and has referred all queries to the party's spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.
