They revealed this week, that a 35-year-old man from Port Shepstone on the KZN south coast has been linked to an international syndicate.
Spokesperson Vishnu Naidoo says more than 35 paedophiles have been arrested in South Africa over the past two years. Nine suspects have been linked to international rings.
"Our investigation particularly into child pornography rings started when we first received information from our counterparts in Antwerp in Belgium. They helped us identify suspects that were linked to child pornography material," he said.
Naidoo's urging parents to be more vigilant.
"Be more aware of their exploration on the internet, who they are associating with and what activities they are engaged in," he said.
