KZN police are searching for two suspected house robbers following a gun battle with officers in Isipingo, south of Durban, on Saturday.
Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of an alleged robbery at the corner of James Avenue and Platt Drive.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says two other suspects were arrested with one being hurt in the shootout.
"The four suspects entered the house and they held the owners of the house at gunpoint - demanding belongings in the house. Members responded to the house robbery and a shooting ensued. The two arrested suspects will appear in court soon," she said.
The injured suspect is receiving medical attention in hospital under police guard.
They're facing charges of house robbery and attempted murder.
