KZN police chief refutes report of AKA hitmen’s arrest in eSwatini

The KZN police chief says there is no truth to reports the hitmen behind the murders of rapper AKA and Tebello Motsoane have been arrested in eSwatini.
Provincial police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says while two men were nabbed in the neighbouring country last week, their arrest has nothing to do with the case.
He says those suspects are in the process of being extradited...
"It is a case that involves a shooting in the Berea area, which happened last year around March, where two people who were in the vehicle were shot. They managed to drive until they stopped at the Mbilo policing area, where one of the people was killed in the vehicle. So, it is that case that we have been pursuing, and we received information on the whereabouts of the suspects. We got information that the suspects are hiding in a neighbouring country of Eswatini."
Kiernan Forbes and his friend and former manager, Motsoane, were shot and killed on Durban's Florida Road in February last year.
Mkhwanazi says they will communicate any movement in their investigation into the pair's murders.

"It is a prosecutor-guided investigation that we are busy with, and we're in a sensitive stage. We have indicated before that there is so much information that the team continues to analyse: the data that we are now analysing, video footage that has been watched, cell phone accounts, or conversations that have been analysed.
“We are in a sensitive stage; despite the recoveries that we've had in the past, there is still progress we are making as a team."
