Police probing Phoenix 'murder-suicide'

Police are investigating an inquest and a case of murder after a Phoenix man and his wife were found dead in their home in Palmview.

They both suffered gunshot wounds to the head.
Spokesperson for SAPS, Thulani Zwane says the couple - found last night - is believed to be in their 30s.
"The police were called to attend to a murder-suicide case in the Phoenix area last night. On their arrival, they noticed that two bodies were found."
A firearm was recovered at the scene, Zwane said.

"The firearm will be taken for ballistics testing to check whether it's the same firearm used during the shooting," he said.
Police say - at this stage - they cannot confirm whether there were others in the Fanpalm Gardens home at the time of the shooting.
