Police probe death of slain Stellies student's mother

Western Cape police are investigating after the body of a 56-year-old woman was found on Scarborough beach near Cape Town yesterday.
It's believed the body belongs to Anna Cornelius - the mother of murdered Stellenbosch student, Hannah Cornelius.
Cornelius reportedly drowned while on a swim.
In a statement, police said the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Her daughter - who was 21-years-old at the time - was kidnapped during a hijacking in 27 May 2017. Her body was later found near a wine farm in Stellensbosch.
The accused - Eben van Niekerk, Geraldo Parsons, Nashwill Julies, and Vernon Witbooi are facing charges of murder, kidnapping and rape. The case is now being heard in the Western Cape High Court.
