Sydenham police say they're investigating a case of assault after a 16-year-old schoolgirl was attacked - allegedly by three fellow pupils at her school.
The Grade 11 learner is said to been attacked yesterday morning at Centenary Secondary School.
Her mother says it was the fifth time her daughter was beaten up.
"They had her on the floor, kicking her on her face, all over her body. They took away her diamond earrings from her, they broke her cellphone, they took away her headphones. They repeatedly hit her.
"She's bruised all over her body, She got stabbed with a pen on her ear. There are bruises on her neck, her face is bruised, her legs are bruised, her nails, you can see her flesh. It's going on for three years like this," said the mother.

"There was a video last year where she was assaulted so badly outside the school and nothing has been done about that either."
She says the latest attack on her child saw her so badly beaten that she could not write her exams at school today and the child is now suffering from anxiety and depression.
She says the teenager couldn't write her exams today because of her injuries.
"Her body is so swollen, she's in so much pain that the doctor said she won't be able to write her exam today. She's seeing a psychologist at the moment," she said.
"Last night when I spoke to her, she said mom, I cannot handle this anymore. It's been going on for too long. I have been crying out for help but no-one seems to want to help me."
The mother says the girl instead saw a psychologist today as she's been suffering from anxiety and depression.
KZN Education spokesperson, Muzi Mahlambi says the department is investigating the matter.
He's applauded the family for opening a case with the police.
