Police officer shot dead in Inanda

The KwaZulu-Natal police's Air Wing and K9 Units are on the hunt for three suspects who shot two police officers in Inanda north of Durban today, killing one of them.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the two officers had gone to serve a protection order at a house in the Namibia Informal Settlement when they came under attack.
"Three suspects over-powered them and took their firearms and stripped them of their uniforms before they locked them in the back of the vehicle.
The suspects then drove the police van to another place where they allegedly shot them."
"One officer died instantly and the other one was wounded and taken to hospital for treatment, "he said.
Police have urged any one with information on the the suspects to come forward.
More than 50 officers have been killed since the beginning of the year.
