Police monitor Prospecton protest
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
Police are monitoring protest action in the Prospecton area, near Isipingo south of Durban.
SAPS spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says about 50 workers from a local company there have taken to the streets this morning.
She says the workers are thought to be demanding permanent employment.
"They want to be employed. At the moment they are negotiating with company management. Police are at the scene to monitor the situation," she said.
Gwala says that protestors have been peaceful and no violence has been reported.
