Police monitor Mangosuthu Highway protest
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Police say they're keeping a close eye on a group of locals who barricaded Mangosuthu Highway in Durban this morning.
They say some of the around 100 people have begun dispersing.
Burning tyres and various objects were used to close off sections of the road. It's not clear yet clear if today's protest is linked to those staged earlier this week on the same highway over services delivery.
The police's Thulani Zwane says the protest has not been violent.
"Although we don't know their concerns, police are still on scene monitoring the situation. There are no damages or arrests made. A case has not been opened for now," he said.
