Police make R20m drug bust in Durban

Authorities in KwaZulu-Natal have confirmed a major drug bust in the south of Durban.

Provincial Hawks spokesperson, Andrea Naicker says officers were alerted about a container at a storage facility in Prospecton.
It was red-flagged by customs officials on Wednesday.

Naicker says a joint operation was conducted and mandrax tablets estimated to be worth millions on the street - were found.
"A container contained approximately 300 000 mandrax tablets valued at approximately R20 million - street value. At this stage no suspects have been arrested, the investigation is still continuing," she says.
