Police investigating violent Kloof home invasion
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
Police are probing a violent home invasion in Kloof yesterday - in which a woman was bound, and her dog's throat slit.

Blue Security responded to the scene after a neighbour raised the alarm just before 6am. The private security company says four heavily armed assailants had derailed the front gate and stormed the property before tying the woman up and slashing the dog - a bull terrier's throat with a sharp object, possibly one of the spikes from the driveway gate.
Police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala confirms the men were armed.
"It is alleged that 4 suspected carrying knives attacked the woman at her Kloof home where they took a TV set, wallet and other belongings before they fled the scene in her red Hyundai i10 vehicle", she said.
"During the robbery her dog was stabbed on the right side of the neck. A case of robbery was opened and investigations are ongoing", Gwala said.
The dog was taken to the local vet for treatment.
