Police investigate murder of woman, 23, at Shallcross home
Police are probing the murder of a 23-year-old Shallcross woman, whose body was discovered by her father late yesterday afternoon.
Demisha Naik had been stabbed. Her distraught father, who arrived home from work, found his daughter's lifeless body in their flat.
"At about 4.45pm, police from Chatsworth were called to attend to a murder case reported at Shallcross. There was a woman with stab wounds on her forehead. A case of murder was then opened for further investigation.
Zwane says it's suspected that she was stabbed by unknown suspects.
"The matter is still under investigation," Zwane said.
A post-mortem will be carried out to determine her exact cause of death.
