Police investigate after SA actor hijacked, robbed
Actor, Jamie Bartlett was hijacked, stuffed into the boot of his car and dropped off in a veld on the East Rand on Friday night.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Kay Makhubela, Bartlett was driving through Brixton in Johannesburg, when three suspects hijacked and stuffed him into the boot of his own car.
"Bartlett was dropped off in a veld on the East Rand where he waited for first light before asking for help," Makhubela said.
Police say that Bartlett approached a house near the Zonkezizwe police station and asked them to phone the police.

"We are investigating a case of hijacking and armed robbery but no suspects have been arrested, yet," he said.
Makhubela adds that they are investigating the circumstances around the incident and that it is unclear if Bartlett had suffered any injuries.
"If he wants to open a case of assault, we can investigate that as well, but for now it is only hijacking and armed robbery," Makhubela responded to a question regarding the wellbeing of Bartlett.
Police have asked anyone with any information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward.
