Police hunt for suspects in Hilton attempted kidnapping
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
The police search continues for two men believed to have been involved in the attempted kidnapping of a teenager near Hilton, outside Pietermaritzburg, earlier in the week.
The kidnappers allegedly demanded that the boy show them the way to a local college.
Police say the teen managed to escape by jumping out of the moving car before flagging down a passing motorist.
The boy was not physically harmed.
The police's Thembeka Mbele says anyone with information that can assist in the investigation should come forward.

"The motive for the kidnapping is unknown at the moment but a case of attempted kidnapping was opened in Hilton for investigation. We want to appeal to parents to not let their children wander alone on the streets.
"If they are coming from school, I'd advise them to walk in groups. If parents are picking up their children - they must be on time to avoid them being victims of this crime," Mbele said.
