The North West Province police have confirmed that a sexual harassment case has been opened against the chairperson of the ANC in the Western Cape.

Colonel Sebata Mokwabone says the details of the case cannot be disclosed to allow for the investigations to continue.
"I'm not in a [position] to confirm the details of the suspect but we can confirm that a case has been opened and it is under investigation and no one has been arrested," he said.
ANC National Spokesperson Zizi Kodwa has also confirmed a case had been opened against the party's Western Cape leader, adding they will await the outcome of the police investigation.
