PMB pupil dies after collapsing on school's sports field
Education officials say they are in shock over the death of a schoolboy who died during rugby practice in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 says the 16-year-old boy collapsed on a sports field in Scottsville yesterday.
Paramedics rushed to the school but the boy was declared dead on the scene.

The Education Department's Kwazi Mthethwa says they are saddened that the young boy has lost his life.
"The Department of Education has been alerted of an incident where a learner collapsed on the [school grounds]. We want to send our deepest condolences to the school, fellow learners, and the entire community but also the affected family," he said.
