PMB cop allegedly kills colleague during spat

A police constable accused of murdering a fellow officer is due to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

SAPS KZN spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda, says the officer was stabbed to death at his home in Oribi on Monday, apparently during an argument.
He says the suspect is in his 30s.

"A constable was arrested shortly after he reportedly stabbed another police constable to death at a residence on Monday, 28 July 2025.
"It is reported that the deceased was sitting with his friend when the suspect, an off-duty police officer, arrived and the two had an argument, allegedly over a phone and keys. The suspect then took out a knife and slit the victim’s throat."
