Plastics sector workers to march in Durban over pay
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
NUMSA members employed in the plastics sector says they will be marching in Pinetown today.
Thousands of workers belonging to the metalworkers union downed tools yesterday over working conditions and pay.
NUMSA's Phakamile Hlubi-Majola says they have been told to meet with their employers outside the Pinetown SAPS offices to hand over a memorandum.
"This is an indefinite strike until the employees give in to the demands of which our members have made. However, the plastic companies are actually trying to use the court to try and stop our members from exercising their democratic right to strike."

Hlubi-Majola says they will be in court on Wednesday to defend the members' right to strike.
