Pinetown, Westville and New Germany to start receiving water
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Residents of Pinetown, Westville and New Germany can now expect water to start flowing through their taps once again following a 48 hour water cut.

The disruption was brought on by a leak from a pump which led to the subsequent collapse of a major valve at the Durban Heights water treatment plant which supplies the Mount Moriah reservoir.
This saw technicians working around the clock since Thursday and throughout last night. Umgeni water board's Shami Harichunder says the issue was eventually fixed in the early hours of this morning.
He says they are now waiting for reservoir levels to rise which will start seeing households getting water from today.
"It is then expected that water supply to Pinetown, Westville and New Germany will return to normal perhaps around midday today", Harichunder said.
"Water levels at Mount Moriah reservoir are filling up quite quickly and therefore we do expected supply to be fully restored by midday", he said.
