A Pinetown man has been arrested for allegedly killing his stepmother.

The 57-year-old woman was reported missing in February. Her body was recovered from the bottom of a cliff in Wyebank a few days later.
The police's Thembeka Mbhele says the 32-year-old suspect had been on the run until detectives got help from members of the community.
"After an intensive investigation - it was revealed that the victim was killed by her step-son. He placed her in a wheelbarrow and dumped her body down a cliff. The suspect left the area and went into hiding.
"Yesterday, the police investigators heard that the suspect was in the area. They proceeded there to arrest the suspect," Mbhele said.
