With a third win for KwaZulu-Natal's Bongumusa Mthembu, first-time win for Ann Ashworth and an impressive finish for amputee runner, Xolani Luvuno - the Comrades 2018 season has drawn to a close.
Families and friends gathered along the 90km route to cheer on athletes in the world's biggest ultra-marathon yesterday.
The 'down run' began outside Pietermaritzburg's City Hall and ended at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Some of the highlights include a 5:26:39 finish for Bongumusa Mthembu - bagging first place in the men's race.
Ann Ashworth finished in the top spot in the women's race at 6:10:04 and 27-year-old Two Oceans runner, Gerda Steyn came in second at 6:15.34.

While amputee runner, Xolani Luvuno also made his way across the finish line.
Visually impaired athlete, Mandla Zwane from Nongoma in northern KwaZulu-Natal ran his 12th Comrades Marathon.
