PICS: A snowy start to the weekend in KZN

Snow has fallen in parts of KZN, marking the beginning of the cooler months of the year.
A cold front hit the province yesterday, causing temperatures to drop across the province and snow to fall over the south western parts of KwaZulu-Natal this morning.
The SA Weather Service predicted cool temperatures along the coastal areas, and the interior with a chance of snow over the Southern Drakensberg.

Snow has so far fallen in the Drakensberg, Underberg and the mountain ranges of Lesotho. While temperatures today have seen coastal areas such as Durban at a maximum of 19 degrees, Margate at 17; the western parts such as Pietermaritzburg at 14 degrees and Kokstad at a maximum of 9. While the lowest temperatures were recorded at 7 degrees in Underberg.
