Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Goods being sold illegally have been confiscated in the Durban CBD.
Acting KZN Transport MEC, Kwazi Mshengu, took part in Operation Vala this afternoon - which aims to reduce crime in the eThekwini District.
Police officers confiscated goods from informal traders operating without permits.
The MEC says they will need to get the proper documents before their stock is released back to them. " It's part of the operations that are run by SAPS, Metro Police and other law enforcement. Just to make sure that we exert law and order around these areas. These areas are giving us difficulty because it is resulting in the attack of foreign nationals."
A man was also arrested after he was found with an unlicensed firearm.
